LEGO Technic Liebherr R 9800 Excavator 42100 recreates the Liebherr R 9800 mining excavator with 4,108 pieces. The model is controlled with LEGO Technic CONTROL+ and includes 3 XL motors, 4 L motors and 2 Bluetooth Smart Hubs. From the app it can move forwards and backwards, steer on its tracks, rotate the superstructure, extend, raise and lower the boom, move the arm, and open and tilt the bucket. The app offers four control screens: multifunction control, drag-pattern control, custom movements and achievement challenges; it also displays data such as the position of the superstructure and boom, power consumption and distance travelled. The Smart Hubs incorporate a 6-axis sensor with gyroscopes and accelerometers. The excavator includes access areas, a cab, walkways and an extendable ladder. Once built, it measures approximately 39 cm high, 65 cm long and 27 cm wide.
